Why Buy Flowers?

From a business point of view, it does not make any sense to buy flowers. If you are buying something for a loved one, why not make it a piece of gold jewelry? Now there is something that has value. Why spend thousands of dollars over something that cannot even last past the weekend?
The power of flowers is not in its resale value. The lure of flowers is symbolic. They symbolize every human emotion from birth to death and everything in between. Flowers have always provided inspiration to artists, poets, painters, musicians and writers. Which art lover has not been mesmerized by Van Goghs series of sunflowers, or Claude Monet's Impressionist masterpiece, the water lilies? The emotional appeal alone is reason enough to buy flowers.
A person's wedding day is one that stays with them for the rest of their lives. And no wedding is ever complete without flowers. From bridal bouquets, to the dcor of the church or synagogue, to the venue for the big party, flowers are an integral part of the wedding landscape. The right arrangement of colors and aromas can bring the event to life, creating an impression that everyone will enjoy and remember. After the wedding there will be plenty of times where you would need flowers to say you are sorry or to show your love.
Flowers also have a special place in the corporate world. They adorn entrances, reception tables and lobbies of hotels and corporate offices, boardrooms and stage sets. Businesses buy flowers for that very special client as a way of saying thank you for your business, or to the employee of the month as a way of complimenting them for a job well done. So why not spruce up your dull, dreary and boring workplace with a colorful arrangement of those blossoming buds?
